What is the reason for Aston Martin not participating in IMSA?

Never understood their decision, you would think with a brand new car they would want to run Daytona and Sebring against all the other cars to get some miles before Le Mans. With only Spa being before Le Mans this year, I think it’s a disadvantage to not do those extra races.

Can’t afford the million dollar buy-in and nobody wants to pay it for them

Is there any news on what Ed Brown is doing?

John/Ryan. Both of you were at Long Beach in 2017 when the BMW M6 GT led overall for 20 minutes because of the DPI cars pitting under safety car later in the race. I bring this up because under 2018 restart procedures, the DPI cars would have been gifted a pass right back to the front. My question is: Do you prefer the new rule so that prototypes get to re-start without the potential of more incidents or do you not like the new rule because you think the officials are letting them off the hook and not make them work to regain track position like they had to do at Long Beach.

Ed Brown retired last year after his back troubles. Opened the door for Pipo to have a full time seat.

If Penske or joest have a troubled first season do you think there is a chance the programs may not continue in the same form at least, in 2019.

What happened to the Transformers/D3 IMSA LMP2 program that was announced? Was that vaporware? They launched it at the major Hasbro (who owns tranformers, I believe) convention/toy show, so it must have had some real corporate backing…

Good show as always guys. With Nee Jani parting ways with Dragon Racing, does that open the door for a possible NAEC program with Rebellion, or with another team possibly?

What are your thoughts on the success or lack of from the Acura NSX GT3? I am a big Honda/Acura fan and I am fairly excited about the early success of the car however I did have higher expectations but overall great 1st year.

Hello John and Ryan! I heard a rumor going around that Land Motorsport bought the Stevenson Audi to run a 2nd car in the American Endurance Cup races. However, that seems sort of strange considering that that team is based in Germany. Do we know if there is any truth to this rumor?

How will the Mecachrome be a competitive engine at only 50hp more than LMP2? Seems like this package will be held up in traffic most races.

Why doesn’t AF Corse consider expanding their armada to run IMSA? It feels like Risi’s days are numbered after their cut back announcement.

After the Cadillac Domination at the Roar, you expect any adjustments to be made from a BOP standpoint? The slowest Cadillac had eight tenths on the fastest Oreca. Are they going to dial back the DPIs to that standard again this season?

Hi Snarky Moose, this question came in after we recorded the episode this week but we’ll make sure to get to it next week! Thanks for listening and writing in.
