Jules Gounon led the way in warmup for this afternoon’s FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park, in a session that saw the two quickest times come from GTD cars.
Gounon took the No. 79 WeatherTech Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo to a best lap of 51.342 seconds, edging out the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Jan Heylen by 0.441 seconds.
The No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTD of Antonio Garcia was quickest in GTD Pro, having set the third quickest time overall.
John Edwards set the fourth quickest lap and second best in GTD Pro, with pole-sitter Matt Campbell completing the top-five in the No. 9 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche.
Fourteen of the 15 cars turned laps in the 20-minute session, with the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes the only car electing to sit out the session.
The FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix gets underway at 3:10 p.m. ET with live coverage on Peacock. Delayed coverage begins on USA Network at 5 p.m.
