Grasser Racing Team has confirmed plans to run a second Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, with factory drivers Franck Perera and Albert Costa among its lineup.
The Austrian team will field the No. 11 Lamborghini at the four long-distance IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races that make up the Endurance Cup at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory driver Perera will join Richard Heistand and Steijn Schothorst for the four races, with International GT Open champion Costa the fourth driver for the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The car is Grasser’s second WeatherTech Championship entry, along with the GEAR Racing-entered initiative announced last month.
Katherine Legge and Christina Nielsen will share that car for the full season, including Endurance Cup and sprint rounds, with Tatiana Calderon and Bia Figueiredo joining as endurance drivers.
“After twice being successful at Daytona, we’ve lined up an incredibly strong crew of four drivers for this season,” said team principal Gottfried Grasser.
“We will do our utmost to achieve more great successes again for Lamborghini in the USA. I am particularly pleased that we will be fielding another car in the IMSA NAEC along with the GEAR Racing by GRT car.
“We are really looking forward to contesting all the classics like the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, 6 Hours at Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans.
“We are extremely proud that Lamborghini Squadra Corse will be giving us their full support in these races!”
It’s understood that Grasser could run a third Lamborghini in partnership with Magnus Racing, which may also be a full-season entry.
