Heart of Racing Team will field two Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evos in next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, with an added GTD Pro entry effectively taking the place of its Valkyrie AMR-LMH that will make its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Confirmed on Wednesday, the Ian James-led operation will run the No. 007 Aston Martin in GTD Pro for Ross Gunn, Roman De Angelis, Alex Riberas and Marco Sorensen.

All four drivers are expected to play a part in the team’s GTP and/or FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar program with the V12-powered Valkyrie, although the exact lineup for the car in the WeatherTech Championship has yet to be announced.

The No. 27 Aston Martin, which will run for a full season of GTD competition, meanwhile, will be driven at Daytona by Zach Robichon, Tom Gamble, Mattia Drudi and Casper Stevenson.

The team has yet to name the full season drivers in the GTD entry.

“We have two really strong lineups this year for Daytona,” said James. “Though it is a little bittersweet for me, it will be the first Rolex 24 I will not be driving in since we started the team in 2020.

“I think these young guys will do a great job and hopefully we can come out after 24 hours with a podium finish.”
