IMSA has confirmed that there are no changes to the final results of last month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona following the conclusion of “additional checks.”
The sanctioning body revealed in the wake of the race that the results of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season opener could remain provisional for up to two weeks amid further investigations to ensure cars complied to the technical regulations.
Although it had been made clear that the four class-winning machines were all within the rules, it was not known if other point-scoring positions would change.
However, 12 days after the checkered flag, IMSA has now announced that the provisional results stands and has provided more details on the post-race investigations that were carried out.
“After the Rolex 24 At Daytona, IMSA conducted extended post‑race technical inspections focused on component sealing and related systems,” said IMSA in a statement.
“That work is now complete and the official results remain unchanged from the provisional order.”
