The results of last weekend’s Rolex 24 at Daytona have remained provisional pending “additional inspections” by IMSA that could take up to two weeks.

Released in a statement from the sanctioning body on Wednesday, the four class-winning cars were all found to be in compliance but additional inspections are set to be carried out in the coming weeks.

Sportscar365 understands the car(s) in question are likely tied to a specific class.

“IMSA’s at-track technical inspection was completed Monday afternoon and the winning cars from all four classes were determined to be in compliance,” the statement read.

“As part of ongoing due diligence, results will remain provisional until additional inspections are completed, a process that could last up to two weeks.

“Notification will be provided once official results have been confirmed.”

IMSA completed a “comprehensive vehicle inspection” on Monday following an overnight impound of the top-four finishing GTP and GTD Pro cars in a controlled location, where it then published the provisional results.
