Matheus Leist leads the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on an alternate pit strategy as the race passes the halfway point under yellow.

The Brazilian is due to bring the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac DPi-V.R to the pits shortly after eschewing the chance during the previous full course yellow when the rest of the DPi class came to the pits for service.

Juan Pablo Montoya has the No. 6 Acura Team Penske entry in position to cycle through to the lead when Leist does come into the pits.

The race currently runs behind the safety car following contact between the No. 3 Corvette Racing entry of Nicky Catsburg and the LMP2 class leader Patrick Kelly.

Catsburg’s car appeared to sustain minor damage and a cut tire, while Kelly appeared to escape the encounter without any significant issues.

Kelly still holds the LMP2 class lead by several laps over Patrick Byrne in the No. 38 Performance Tech Oreca 07 Gibson.

Nick Tandy has the No. 911 Porche 911 RSR-19 out in front in the GT Le Mans category in the team’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Champoinship swansong. He is followed by Connor De Phillippi and Jesse Krohn in the twin BMW Team RLL BMW M8 GTE machines.

GT Daytona sees Corey Lewis’ Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo out in front in for Paul Miller Racing. Jan Heylen and Jeff Westphal run second and third in class for Wright Motorsports and Scuderia Corsa, respectively.
