Kenton Koch has landed a drive in Triarsi Competizione’s Ferrari 296 GT3 for this weekend’s Chevrolet Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, following the fallout from Korthoff Competition Motors’ effort.
Koch, who has driven for the Herb Korthoff-owned organization for the last three IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship seasons, will share the wheel of Triarsi’s GTD class Ferrari with team owner Onofrio Triarsi in Sunday’s two-hour and 40-minute contest.
It comes after the absence of Korthoff Competition Motors from LMP2, GTD Pro and GTD-only race.
Koch teamed with Daniel Morad and Mikey Taylor for a GTD class podium finish in last month’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, although the No. 32 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo has not been entered for CTMP.
Sportscar365 understands that several dynamics have been at play with the team since Chris Lucas, the father of teenager Seth Lucas, took an ownership stake in the team late last year, which also saw the arrival of Motul as a sponsor.
Seth Lucas was replaced at the last minute by Taylor at Watkins Glen, while all mentions of the team’s 2025 campaign were removed from its social media channels.
For Triarsi, it will mark the third different set of drivers in the last three races for the No. 021 Ferrari, which is registered as a full season entry.
Sheena Monk and Stevan McAleer, who were tabbed as full-time pilots, departed the team in the build-up to Watkins Glen and were replaced by the trio of Alessandro Balzan, AJ Muss and Jason Hart for the six-hour race.
Onofrio Triarsi, meanwhile, moves over from the team’s No. 023 entry, which has largely been for the Michelin Endurance Cup races only.
