Kevin Magnussen topped the time charts in the second and final practice session of the day at Belle Isle, leading a Cadillac sweep of the top three positions ahead of qualifying for Saturday’s Chevrolet Sports Car Classic.

The ex-Formula 1 star in the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R reeled off a quick lap of 1:20.068 as the checkered flag flew on the 90-minute session to edge out the No. 31 Action Express Racing entry of Pipo Derani by 0.158 seconds.

Loic Duval was third in the No. 5 JDC-Miller Motorsports entry ahead of the No. 55 Mazda RT24-P of Harry Tincknell and the pair of Acura ARX-05s from Wayne Taylor Racing and Meyer Shank Racing, which were fifth and sixth, respectively.

Jack Hawksworth led the way in GT Daytona, thanks to a 1:30.495 lap time in his No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3.

It was 0.205 seconds slower than the No. 39 CarBahn by Peregrine Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo of Richard Heistand, with Friday morning’s pacesetter Mario Farnbacher third quickest in the No. 76 Compass Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo.

The session was halted early on for debris shed by the No. 66 Gradient Racing Acura of Till Bechtolsheimer, who brushed the wall and left parts of his car on track.

A number of other cars found the concrete barriers during the session as well, including the No. 28 Alegra Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and Mazda DPi, although faced less severe damage.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 3:30 p.m. ET.
