The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V-Series.R has been stripped of its podium finish in Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring following a technical infraction found in post-race inspection.
The Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque and Will Stevens-driven Cadillac, which finished ‘best of the rest’ behind the two dominant Penske Porsche 963s, was found to have had camber in excess of the permitted tire pressure limit.
As a result, the car has been moved to rear of the GTP finishing order.
It has promoted the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac of Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber and Fred Vesti to third.
Additionally, the No. 912 Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo was moved to the rear of the GTD finishing order as a result of Riccardo Pera’s drive time, which was some 22 minutes short of the three-hour minimum.
Pera, who was in the car for the closing stint, stopped on track after battling an overheating issue in his Porsche with 33 minutes to go, which brought out the race’s ninth and final full-course caution.
The sister Manthey Porsche picked up the victory in the GTD Pro class.
