Olsen, Campbell to Replace Hargrove in Pfaff Porsche

Porsche Young Professional drivers Dennis Olsen and Matt Campbell will replace Scott Hargrove in Pfaff Motorsports’ Porsche for the next two IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races, the team announced on Monday.

Hargrove, a Porsche-selected driver, will sit out this weekend’s round at Lime Rock Park, as well as next month’s Road America race, in order to allow the first-year GTD team to “test and develop” options.

It comes in the wake of Hargrove’s clash with the AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 of Jack Hawksworth in the last round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, which saw the two cars make contact and IMSA hand incident responsibility to the 24-year-old Canadian.

Olsen, who drove for the team in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, will share the No. 9 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Zach Robichon this weekend at Lime Rock, with Campbell confirmed for Road America.

“We’re very excited to have Dennis rejoin us again,” said team manager Steve Bortolotti. “He’s an extremely talented driver and will surely be an asset on a two-day race weekend where our entire schedule is condensed.”

Hargrove, meanwhile, is slated to return to driving duties for the GT-only round at Virginia International Raceway next month and will continue to work with the team “outside of the cockpit” in the next two WeatherTech Championship races.

Pfaff currently sits 10th in the GTD teams’ championship.
