Nico Pino broke Acura Meyer Shank Racing’s run of topping the first three sessions by taking the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Porsche 963 to the quickest time in the fourth session at the IMSA-sanctioned test at Daytona International Speedway.

The Chilean, a regular with the car in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Proton Competition, reeled off a 1:36.015 in the Saturday afternoon session to outpace the No. 93 MSR Acura ARX-06 of Nick Yelloly by 0.282 seconds.

Felipe Nasr’s No. 7 Penske Porsche 963, which unlike the JDC-Miller car, is featuring Porsche’s new-for-2026 aero updates, was third quicker in the four-and-a-half-hour long session.

Team WRT’s No. 24 BMW M Hybrid V8 of Kevin Magnussen was fourth quickest, with Tom Blomqvist’s No. 60 MSR Acura completing the top-five in GTP.

The No. 73 Pratt Miller Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson of Pietro Fittipaldi continued to lead the way in LMP2, as did the No. 44 Magnus Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, which also topped the times for the second consecutive session.

Magnus’ GTD class entry was 0.065 seconds ahead of the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, which was second quickest out of the GT3-spec cars, while the sister No. 48 Winward Mercedes-AMG topped GTD Pro.

There was a single red flag with roughly two hours remaining for the No. 99 AO Racing Oreca that went off course in Turn 6 in the hands of Dane Cameron after a wheel nut issue led a loose wheel according to Cameron.

It returned to action in the closing minutes of the session.

A two-hour night session will wrap up testing activities for the day, as well as for GTP and LMP2 competitors this weekend, which will run from 7-9 p.m. ET.
