Team Sahlen will continue with its Riley-BMW Daytona Prototype machinery into next year’s Tudor United SportsCar Championship, the team confirmed Wednesday.
A two-car assault is planned in the Prototype category, with both Dane Cameron and Wayne Nonnamaker returning to the wheel of the No. 42 car, while the father-and-son duo of Joe and Will Nonnamaker set to pilot the No. 43 entry.
Both Cameron and Wayne Nonnamaker impressed in their first full season of DP competition, with the California native having scored pole at Lime Rock Park and led outright on a number of occasions.
Nonnamaker, meanwhile, won the 2013 Jim Trueman award for top sportsman driver in DP.
“I am excited to be paired back up with Dane,” Wayne Nonnamaker said. “I think we make a great combo and hopefully in 2014 we can do more than just surprise the competition, but rise to the next level and be a strong contender week in and week out.”
