Nicki Thiim will complete Magnus Racing’s lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the Aston Martin factory driver joining the previously announced trio of Andy Lally, John Potter and Spencer Pumpelly in the team’s GTD class No. 44 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
Thiim, a two-time FIA World Endurance GT champion, will be making his third Rolex 24 start in the last four years, with previous runs with The Heart of Racing and NorthWest AMR.
“The Rolex 24 At Daytona is one of my personal highlights of the year,” said Thiim. “To go there with all that Aston Martin and Magnus Racing with Flex-Box have done in IMSA over the years is a great opportunity.
“The fact that the Magnus crew did so well last year gives you a little more confidence to go there and do well for everyone!
“The Rolex 24 is the start of every season, and one of the top-three races every driver wants to do and do well in. Going from winter break straight to fighting a big battle is super awesome and exciting.”
Magnus, which is again confirmed for the Michelin Endurance Cup-only races this year, also confirmed the return of Flex-Box as its primary sponsor.
