TR3 Racing is set to make its Rolex 24 at Daytona debut, with two former class winners part of the team’s lineup in its Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.

Jeff Segal and Bill Sweedler, who won the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic in 2014 in the GT Daytona class, will team up with John Megrue and Lamborghini factory driver Giacomo Altoe in the entry.

Altoe, Megrue and Sweedler were all part of the Florida-based team’s Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS effort this year, with the Italian driver completing all but one round in the 2021 season.

While currently confirmed for Daytona-only, team principal Gregory Romanelli told Sportscar365 that the car could contest the remainder of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup races depending on its result in the season-opener.

All four drivers are slated to test the car at Daytona International Speedway next week.

In addition to its GTWC America program, TR3 joined the IMSA-sanctioned Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America ranks this year.
