Rinus VeeKay will return to the Rolex 24 at Daytona with TDS Racing, completing the lineup for the No. 11 Oreca 07 Gibson in the LMP2 class.
The NTT IndyCar Series race winner will team up with Steven Thomas, Scott Huffaker and Mikkel Jensen for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opener.
The Dutchman will make his third start at Daytona. He made his debut with DragonSpeed in 2021, before joining the TDS-operated Racing Team Nederland crew this year.
He finished second in class behind the DragonSpeed entry driven by fellow IndyCar racers Colton Herta, Pato O’Ward and Devlin DeFrancesco.
“Very happy to announce that I will be racing the Daytona 24 Hours next year with TDS Racing,” VeeKay wrote on Twitter. “Our lineup is very strong and I can’t wait to battle for the win.”
VeeKay will once again be battling several of his IndyCar rivals in the LMP2 category.
Tower Motorsport announced on Monday that Team Penske teammates Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin will be making their Daytona debuts aboard the No. 8 Oreca alongside John Farano and Kyffin Simpson.
TDS Racing is currently present at the IMSA-sanctioned test at Daytona International Speedway with the No. 11 car.
The French squad, along with Tower and PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, were invited by IMSA for “prescribed testing plans” related to the GTP and LMP2 class stratification.
