WeatherTech Racing drivers Cooper MacNeil, Gunnar Jeannette and Alessandro Balzan took the first laps in Scuderia Corsa’s all-new No. 63 Ferrari 488 GT3 car at the Ferrari test track in Firoano this past week.

Taking the opportunity to get their first taste behind the wheel of the new cr, the trio were happy to exercise the Ferrari before it was boxed up and sent to the team’s shop in California in preparation for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

“Usually we like to get a test on a new car with the entire team at Daytona before the Roar Before the 24,” said MacNeil. “We just couldn’t get the car in time, so we went over and each had the opportunity to put a few laps on the WeatherTech Ferrari before it was shipped.

“The laps certainly instilled some excitement for the upcoming season.”

The team’s driver lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona also includes Jeff Segal, who was unable to attend the test last week.

Heters are going to hate. But they would love to do everything Cooper does.

Live and enjoy Cooper, us regular folks would love to be in your shoes. So until we get there, have fun for us as well.

Of course, the old man, pappy is paying for everything! Junior wasn’t happy racing for Alex Job, so he went crying to daddy, he started his own team just for the spoiled brat, poor Cooper still wasn’t happy, so now daddy going to write cheques to Scuderia Corsa!

Dude, what happened? Did your wife dump you for Cooper?

Would you be happy if Weathertech pulled their sponsorship from IMSA and went to another series, like PWC?

Maybe you should join the army, go overseas, and channel all your hate towards killing the Taliban.

        Lighten up.

Nah, i’m good thanks. I’m not going to lighten up, I’m stating my opinion, daddy is paying for sonny boy to enjoy himself, as far as Weathertech, I don’t give a damn what series they sponsor, won’t affect me in any way!

        Does everybody smell that?

That’s the stench of jealousy, frustration and envy.

Correct name is Fiorano. This is Ferrari’s private test track in Maranello, Italy.

Better than Scuderia’s horrible paint job last year. Just like Le Mans but it is with green numbers instead of Orange.

I do disagree with IMSA keeping the number color codes the same. GTLM should be green. GTD should be orange.
