Loek Hartog extended his Pro class championship lead with his third Porsche Carrera Cup North America victory of the season in Sunday’s rain and accident-impacted contest at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

The Kellymoss driver, who started on pole, led from flag-to-flag in the shortened race just prior to the Formula 1 AWS Grand Prix du Canada.

Hartog drove to the win over Saturday’s race-winning No. 15 MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car of Yves Baltas, with Race 2 ending under full course caution some seven minutes early due to barrier damage that was not able to be immediately repaired.

It was due to a heavy crash on Lap 6 for Colin Kaminsky in the No. 77 Topp Racing Performance in the final corner halfway through the scheduled 40-minute contest.

Kaminsky was seen climbing from the car under his own power.

The first yellow came out ten minutes earlier for debris.

Michael Cooper completed the Pro class podium in third in his No. 88 Baby Bull Racing entry, benefitting from a slip up from Alex Sedgwick, whose No. 98 JDX Racing Porsche went deep into the hairpin on the opening green flag lap.

Sedgwick was classified in fourth, with Zachary Vanier completing the top-five.

Moisey Uretsky picked up Pro-Am class honors in his No. 44 Baby Bull Racing Porsche, ahead of Marco Cirone and Alan Metni.

Matt Halcome, meanwhile, completed a sweep of the weekend in the Masters class in his ACI Motorsports entry.

RESULTS: Race 2
