Tyler Maxson will continue in Porsche Carrera Cup North America competition with Topp Racing, it has been announced.
The 21-year-old is set for his sophomore season Porsche’s single-make series, where he finished fifth in the Pro class points standings.
The team won the 2025 championship with Ryan Yardley, who has since been named a Porsche Motorsport North America Selected Driver and is not expected to defend his title.
“Last season gave me a lot of confidence in myself and in this team,” said Maxson.
“We showed that we can run up front consistently, and coming back as defending team champions raises the bar even higher. I’m excited to build on what we learned in 2025 and go after the championship in 2026.”
Team owner Todd Oppermann added: “Tyler proved last season that he has everything it takes to contend for wins and championships in this series.
“His growth, professionalism, and race craft were on full display, and we’re thrilled to have him back as we look to defend our title and help him in his fight for the driver’s championship in 2026.”
The season kicks off at Sebring International Raceway in Mid-March as part of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend.
