Patrick Mulcahy will make the switch to ACI Motorsports for the upcoming Porsche Carrera Cup North America season, remaining in the Pro-Am class in the IMSA-sanctioned single-make series.

Announced on Friday, the former GMG Racing driver, who finished third in the 2025 championship, has joined the Tennessee-based squad as part of its planned multi-car lineup featuring the new Type 992.2 Porsche 911 Cup car.

“Patrick’s experience, results, and approach make him exactly the kind of driver we want at ACI Motorsports,” said team owner Curt Swearingin.

“After winning the Pro-Am class championship in Porsche Carrera Cup North America in 2025 with JP Martinez, our goal is to build on that success. We believe Patrick gives us a strong opportunity to fight for another Pro-Am class title and continue building a championship-winning program.”

Mulcahy added: “I’ve been really impressed with what ACI Motorsports has built – the team, the results, and the way they operate.

“I’m excited to get on track with them, compete at the front, fight for podiums and wins, and work together to go after the championship.”

The Carrera Cup season kicks off at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring weekend in March.
