Wiley Leads Hall in COTA Practice

Travis Wiley laid down the quickest time in Porsche Deluxe Carrera Cup North America’s one-and-only practice session for this weekend’s pair of season-ending races at Circuit of The Americas.

The Topp Racing driver took his No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car to a best lap of 2:08.188 to edge out McElrea Racing’ Bayley Hall by 0.127 seconds.

Alex Sedgwick was third overall and in the Pro class in his PT Autosport-backed No. 98 JDX Racing Porsche, followed by Ryan Yardley in fourth and champion-elect Riley Dickinson, who completed the top-five.

Jason Hart, Michael Cooper, Will Martin, Thomas Merrill and Jimmy Llibre rounded out the top-ten, meanwhile.

Pro-Am was led by the No. 23 Kellymoss Porsche of PJ Hyett while Mark Kvamme topped Am in the No. 43 MDK Motorsports Porsche.

Qualifying is next up and is scheduled for Saturday at 8:35 a.m. CDT.
