Land-Motorsport has announced that it is parting ways with Audi, bringing an end to a relationship that spanned almost a decade and which brought several high-profile successes in championships around the globe.

The Wolfgang Land-squad first began campaigning Audi GT3 machinery in 2016 after years of competing in Porsche single-make racing and immediately won the ADAC GT Masters title with Connor de Phillippi and Christopher Mies.

The following year, it would enjoy even greater success, taking a GTD class podium on debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona before winning the Nürburgring 24 in a factory-backed effort with De Phillippi, Mies, Kelvin van der Linde and Markus Winkelhock.

More North American success would follow later, including a class win at Motul Petit Le Mans at the end of 2017 and overall victory in the 2018 California 8 Hours.

A second GT Masters title, this time with Mies and Ricardo Feller, was taken in 2021, after which the team would continue to represent the Ingolstadt marque at the N24 as well as in Michelin 24H Series competition.

Earlier this year, Land-Motorsport unexpectedly made its DTM debut, stepping up to provide an alternative program for Feller after the Swiss racer saw initial plans to compete with Allied Racing fall through.

It closed out its debut season in the series in strong fashion, claiming a maiden victory at the Red Bull Ring.

“Special thanks go to those responsible for Audi, who have carried and supported everything in the background and on the track over all these years, as well as the partners who have accompanied Land-Motorsport,” the team wrote in a statement.

“Many of them are now close friends of the team, including drivers like Christopher Mies, Ricardo Feller, Connor De Phillippi and Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde.

“Just as every chapter ends once, this one also closes. Land-Motorsport thanks Audi for the great time together and the successful cooperation.”
