Saleen Automotive will take the wraps off its GT4 car at this week’s SRO Motorsports America season-finale in Las Vegas.
The manufacturer, which recently launched a single-make series for Saleen S1 Cup cars, will present its “GT4 concept” Thursday at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
As first revealed by Sportscar365 last year, Saleen had laid out plans to offer a GT4-spec version of its turbocharged mid-engined sports car beginning in 2020.
The car, expected to compete in Pirelli GT4 America competition, will be a purpose-built version of the S1, which will be built at Saleen’s U.S. facility in Corona, Calif. following homologation approval by SRO.
The final round of the Saleen Cup will take place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, with the two class champions winning an all-paid GT4 drive for next year.
