James Roe will make his Asian Le Mans Series debut as part of the lineup for the No. 11 TF Sport Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, the team has confirmed.
The Irish racer will team up with Blake McDonald and Matt Bell for the six-round championship, which kicks off at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia next month.
Roe, 27, has spent the bulk of his career competing in junior single seater championships in the United States, but has also gradually transitioned to sports car racing in recent years.
Most notably, he joined Pratt Miller Motorsports’ LMP2 effort in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this past season, racing in four Michelin Endurance Cup rounds.
Although Roe will be a newcomer to the Corvette platform, he has previous GT3 experience dating back to a partial program with Imperiale Racing in 2022, when he drove a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo in both the Italian GT Championship and International GT Open.
“I’m really excited to join TF Sport for this season’s Asian Le Mans Series,” Roe said.
“It’s a championship I’ve always followed with interest and I really like how it fits into the racing calendar. I’m ready to get into that Corvette and work with the TF team!”
The Tom Ferrier-led squad will be fielding a pair of Corvettes in the Asian championship this year, having recently signed a two-year extension with the American manufacturer.
Its second car, entered under the Racing Team Turkey banner, will be piloted by Salih Yoluc, Tom van Rompuy and Charlie Eastwood.
