United Autosports has revealed a revamped driver lineup for its McLaren GT entry for the remaining rounds of the Asian Le Mans Series season.
The British-flagged team’s No. 59 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo will see two fresh faces for the Dubai and Abu Dhabi double-headers that make up the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign in the form of Andrey Mukovoz and Alexey Nesov.
The two Russian drivers join Wayne Boyd, who contested the season-opening 4 Hours of Sepang weekend alongside Mark Rosser and Garnet Patterson.
Both Mukovoz and Nesov have enjoyed success in GT3 racing, with the pair both having been part of the Tresor Attempto Racing crew that scored Bronze Cup victory in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in 2024 with an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
Nesov also contested the Asian Le Mans Series in 2024 for the same team.
“Having closely followed the races in Malaysia, I’m really excited to be joining United Autosports for the remaining rounds of the Asian Le Mans Series in Dubai and Abu Dhabi,” said Mukovoz.
“The circuits present unique and demanding challenges, but with the support of such a well-respected team with a raft of proven results, I am confident that we can fight at the very front of the pack.
“With Alexey and Wayne alongside, our goal is to hit the ground running and work tirelessly for the best results possible.”
Nesov added: “Joining United Autosports and representing the McLaren brand is a momentous opportunity. The team has a great pedigree and I am eager to contribute to its ongoing success alongside Wayne and Andrey.
“The McLaren is an incredible machine, and I’m looking forward to extracting its full potential at two of the most challenging racetracks on the calendar.”
Besides the revamped United lineup, the 47-car entry list for the 4 Hours of Dubai, which takes place on Jan. 30-Feb. 1, features several other changes from Sepang.
The only point of difference in the LMP2 class concerns the No. 22 Proton Competition Oreca 07 Gibson, as Stefan Aust returns from injury to take up his spot alongside Jonas Ried and Felipe Fernandez Laser after skipping the Malaysian race.
In LMP3, R-ace GP’s Duqueine D09 Toyota will be driven by Danial Frost, Shahan Sarkissian and one more to-be-confirmed driver, with the French team’s Sepang trio — Fabien Michal, Pierre-Alexandre Provost and Hugo Schwarze — all departing.
One of several changes from the Sepang round in the GT ranks is Steve Jans replacing Shigekazu Wakisaka in the lineup for the No. 9 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo alongside Anthony Bartone and Fabian Schiller.
Elsewhere, the No. 54 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 has a revised lineup with Dutch pair Yelmer Buurman and Nigel Schoonderwoerd joining Francesco Castellacci, while another Dutch driver, Huub van Eijndhoven, is standing in for SUPER GT racer Kiyoto Fujinami in the Seven x Seven Racing-backed No. 77 Proton Porsche 911 GT3 R.
Phantom Global Racing’s No. 41 Porsche, which was a last-minute withdrawal from the Sepang round, is not returning for Dubai.
