Dome has been selected as the fifth and final LMP3 constructor by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, it was announced Tuesday.
The Japanese manufacturer, which has previously produced LMP1 and LMP2 cars, will step into the new entry level prototype market with the new Dome S104.
Further details on the car and launch plan have yet to be announced.
Dome joins Ginetta, Onroak Automotive, Riley-Ave and ADESS as approved LMP3 constructors, companies which are spread across three continents.
The new-for-2015 category is currently eligible in the European and Asian Le Mans Series, as well as a growing number of national championships across Europe.
