John Falb will rejoin the Nielsen Racing LMP2 team for this weekend’s 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps round of the European Le Mans Series.
The 53-year-old Bronze-rated driver will join James Allen and Sergio Sette Camara in Nielsen’s No. 27 Pro-Am Oreca 07 Gibson for his first outing of the season.
Falb raced for Nielsen in last year’s ELMS in the LMP2 Pro-Am category, scoring two podium finishes on his way to fifth in the standings alongside Colin Noble.
He takes the place of Tony Wells, who raced alongside Allen and Sette Camara for the opening three rounds of the season and took class victory at Paul Ricard.
Falb replacing Wells is one of a number of changes on the 44-car entry list for the 4H Spa-Francorchamps, which was announced last week.
Elsewhere in the LMP2 ranks, Benjamin Pedersen will make his first ELMS outing of the season as he joins Duqueine Team in place of Francesco Simonazzi, while CLX Motorsport has elected not to replace Pipo Derani for the weekend.
Derani left CLX late last month to focus on his Genesis LMDh development duties, with Enzo Fittipaldi and Manuel Espirito Santo set to drive as a duo at Spa.
In LMGT3, James Calado is set for a second outing of the year in the No. 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 in place of Daniel Serra, who faces a clash with the VIR round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this weekend.
Antares Au will be the designated Bronze-rated driver for Proton Competition’s No. 60 Porsche 911 GT3 R, taking over the seat occupied by team boss Christian Ried.
Julien Gerbi meanwhile rejoins the Team Virage LMP3 squad, and will pilot the No. 8 Ligier JS P325 Toyota alongside Rik Koen and Daniel Nogales.
