IMSA Performance Matmut has re-worked the driver lineup for its European Le Mans Series program, with David Hallyday taking the seat of Laurent Pasquali in the team’s No. 76 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
GT veteran Hallyday will join Nicolas Armindo and team co-principal Raymond Narac for the five-round championship, plus the 24 Hours of Le Mans, entry pending.
“David knows endurance racing and Le Mans well, which is paramount,” said co-owner Franck Rava. “He has driven in several different GT categories and like anyone with Carrera Cup experience, should quickly adapt to the RSR.
“I’m sure he will form a great team alongside Nicolas and Raymond. Both have known the RSR for several years and will be able to help David get up to speed in the first two races of the season and get ready for Le Mans if the entry is accepted.”
The French squad’s No. 76 entry currently sits as the first reserve in GTE, while its No. 67 Porsche of Eric Helary, Erick Maris and Jean-Marc Merlin already having a confirmed entry in GTE-Am.
