Former FIA World Endurance Championship racer Lorcan Hanafin and GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup Silver class champion Mex Jansen have signed with GR Racing for this season’s European Le Mans Series.

Hanafin was part of the Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo squad in the WEC and ELMS last year but will now race a Ferrari for the first time since a 2023 European campaign with JMW Motorsport.

Jansen, meanwhile, is completely new to the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo having achieved his previous success at the wheel of various BMWs.

In addition to his GTWC Europe glory with Century Motorsport last year, he also claimed the 2024 Dutch Supercar Challenge title in his homeland with a Koopman Racing M6 GT3.

The signing of Hanafin and Jansen means that team owner Michael Wainwright is the only member of the GR Racing lineup that finished eighth in last year’s ELMS who will continue aboard the Ferrari.

Wainwright is a category stalwart and took a best finish of fourth in the ELMS table in 2015, back when GR Racing competed with Porsches prior to a Ferrari move for 2024.
