Porsche factory driver Laurin Heinrich will make his European Le Mans Series debut this year at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo with High Class Racing.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship racer has added an ELMS program to his schedule as the High Class squad makes a comeback, switching from the LMP2 ranks to the LMGT3 class.
Although Heinrich graduated to the WeatherTech Championship’s GTP class for this year, he has considerable Porsche GT3 experience including winning the GTD Pro class in 2024.
Heinrich will be partnered by team owner Anders Fjordbach and Dennis Andersen, who both drove for High Class in its most recent ELMS campaign in 2020.
The squad has more recently been active in the WeatherTech Championship and has also competed in the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, while also committing to a full season Intercontinental GT Challenge program.
“Together with Dennis and Anders, we will form a strong lineup, and I hope to contribute to the team with my extensive GT racing experience,” said Heinrich.
“Even though it is my very first ELMS season, I expect to fight at the front, and we will work hard to achieve strong results.”
Fjordbach described the ELMS as “a natural home for High Class Racing” and added: “The series is professional, intense and competitively demanding – exactly the environment we want to be in.
“I look forward to sharing the car with Dennis again, and having Laurin onboard is a tremendous boost. We return with ambition, experience and a highly motivated group of people.”
