Peugeot factory driver Mikkel Jensen and Silver-rated Dane Frederik Schandorff will complete Kessel Carguy Racing’s lineup for the European Le Mans Series season and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the team announced on Monday.
Jensen, who drove with the team during its partial season FIA World Endurance Championship campaign last year, will rejoin the Kessel-run operation alongside Carguy founder Takeshi Kimura and reigning International GT Open champion Schandorff, who is set for his GTE class debut.
The No. 57 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo will compete in the GTE class in the ELMS and the GTE-Am category at Le Mans under the Kessel Racing banner.
Sportscar365 understands that Carguy was unsuccessful in securing its own entry for the WEC, which has led to the revised program.
The ELMS season kicks off with the 4 Hours of Le Castellet on April 17.
