The grid for the different sports car championships are beginning to fill up. This is particularly true of the European Le Mans Series. (en Français)
Sam Hignett, Jota Sport director, has confirmed that the British team, which finished third in this year’s ELMS LMP2 championship, will return with its Zytek Z11SN Nissan, while also submitting an entry for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“Our plan is to compete in the ELMS and the Le Mans 24 Hours once again with the Zytek package,” Hignett confirmed. “Simon [Dolan] will remain with us and we are looking for two quick single seater guys to join him, Oliver [Turvey] may be one of them.
“2013 was good. Unfortunately we lost the ELMS [championship] through a non-finish at Imola and the penalty in Austria but 4 out of 5 poles proved the pace of the car.
“We were also very quick at Le Mans but suffered a wishbone failure which meant we couldn’t challenge for the win.”
