Panis Racing has lost its victory in the 4 Hours of Imola due to a Full Course Yellow infraction for Charles Milesi, handing the win to AO by TF.

The No. 65 Oreca 07 Gibson driven by Milesi, Manuel Maldonado and Arthur Leclerc were initially credited as winners, however, a stewards’ decision, released late Sunday, has stripped them of the victory.

This was due to Milesi having “speeded up too soon, anticipating the end of FCY” according to the bulletin.

A drive-through penalty converted to a time penalty of 35 seconds was added to the car’s total race time and 1 behavioral warning point deducted.

It has dropped the Panis entry to a fifth place finish in the third round of the European Le Mans Series season.

As a result, the No. 14 AO by TF Oreca of Louis Deletraz, Robert Kubica and Jonny Edgar have been declared the winners, ahead of the No. 10 Vector Sport entry and No. 43 Inter Europol Competition car, which has now picked up a podium finish.

Two other cars, the No. 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 and No. 97 Grid Motorsport by TF Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, were also handed post-race time penalties for overtaking under a double yellow flag and exceeding track limits, respectively.

It promoted the No. 63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 to a podium result in LMGT3.

Additionally, the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca was given a post-race penalty of one lap and 43 seconds due to Ben Hanley not respecting the minimum drive time for a Gold-rated driver.

RESULTS: 4 Hours of Imola (Revised)
