Jota Sport claimed its third pole position of the season in qualifying for today’s Four Hours of Red Bull this morning.

Harry Tincknell was the fastest driver in qualifying, setting his fastest lap of 1:23.078 on his final qualifying lap. It is Tincknell’s second pole of the 2014 season.

Frank Mailleux qualified the No. 34 Race Performance Oreca Nissan in second place, the French driver’s fastest lap time almost half a second slower than that of Tincknell.

Thiriet by TDS Racing’s Tristan Gommendy, who had been on provisional pole with three minutes minutes left, elected to save his tires and ultimately ended up in third place, just over half a second behind Tincknell.

In LMGTE it was the No. 72 SMP Racing Ferrari of Andrea Bertolini that dominated qualifying. Bertolini qualified the Ferrari, lapping the Austrian track in 1:29.286.

Richard Lietz in the Proton Competition Porsche was second fastest, two tenths behind Bertolini, while Gulf Racing UK’s Stuart Hall qualified his Aston Martin Vantage in third place.

Formula Racing continued a strong qualifying run, with Jan Magnussen claiming pole position in GTC. The Dane’s fastest time of 1:30.647 was 0.169s faster than Kevin Korjus’ time in the No. 98 ART Grand Prix McLaren.
