Eurasia Motorsport will have a new driver line-up for the Four Hours of Estoril this weekend, with Frederic Vervisch and Michael Lyons joining Tristan Gommendy for the European Le Mans Series season finale.
Gommendy has raced in the No. 33 Oreca 05 Nissan for the full season, so far alongside Nico Pieter de Bruijn and Pu Jun Jin.
However, the Mark Goddard-led team announced on Tuesday that the two drivers will no longer compete with the team for “business reasons.”
GT regular Vervisch returns to the team that he won the 2008 Asian Formula 3 Series title with, while it will be Lyons’ first race with the Asian squad.
“We believe we have a strong line up which will allow us to end the year on a high note,” said team principal Mark Goddard. “We know what Michael can do having competed against him in the European Le Mans Series.
“While this will be Frederic’s first Le Mans Prototype experience we know what he is capable of after his season of Asian F3 with us and I am sure he will be competitive.”
