W Series runner-up Beitske Visser is set to make her LMP2 debut as part of Richard Mille Racing’s lineup for this weekend’s European Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Spa.
Endurance-info reports that BMW junior Visser has been signed up to drive the No. 50 Richard Mille Oreca 07 Gibson with Tatiana Calderon and Andre Negrao, who piloted the car as a pair in the Paul Ricard season-opener.
Richard Mille Racing originally had Katherine Legge and Sophia Floersch down to share with Calderon at the start of the year, but both drivers are unable to race at Spa.
Legge is recovering from injuries sustained in a pre-season testing crash that ruled her out of the Paul Ricard race and prompted Richard Mille Racing to recruit reigning FIA World Endurance LMP2 champion Negrao as a last-minute replacement.
Floersch, meanwhile, is driving in the FIA Formula 3 round at Silverstone and looks set to face a similar clash for the Barcelona race which falls on the Belgian Grand Prix weekend.
Visser, who finished second to Jamie Chadwick in the inaugural W Series championship last year, has never raced a prototype before and is also set to make her ELMS debut.
However, the Dutch driver has lots of experience in GTs courtesy of her BMW affiliation, including a part-season program in GT Open last season driving a BMW M6 GT3.
Visser completed 31 laps aboard the No. 50 Oreca in a test at Spa on Wednesday prior to her confirmation as part of the Signatech-supported Richard Mille Racing crew.
