Beechdean AMR has announced the three drivers set to take to the wheel of its Aston Martin V8 Vantage at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The factory-run team will compete in the No. 99 Aston Martin in GTE-Am, with team owner Andrew Howard, along with Liam Griffin and Gary Hirsch.
Griffin won the Le Mans festival with Howard last year, and this year the British GT regular is set to take part in the 24 hour race.
“It is every driver’s dream to race the Le Mans 24 Hours and to get to do it in a factory Beechdean Aston Martin GTE V8 Vantage is very much the cherry on the ice cream!” he said.
Hirsch is reigning European Le Mans Series LMP2 champion with Greaves Motorsport. “I am honored to be part of Beechdean AMR for Le Mans,” he said.
“This new journey is very exciting especially as my last race in a GT car was 2011. Competition will of course be strong, finishing is our first mission.”
“To be taking part in the ultimate endurance race for the first time is amazing,” added Howard. “The Le Mans 24 Hour race is every driver’s goal.”
