A field of 35 entries has been announced for the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship at Thursday’s press conference in Paris, more than the 32 projected for a full-season.
LMP1 sees 11 cars confirmed as expected. Notable here are Toyota, Audi, Porsche and ByKolles all switching numbers.

Nissan’s pair of Nissan GT-R LM NISMOs officially join the fray, and the three privateer, AER-powered entries are also confirmed even though Rebellion Racing will miss the season-opening Silverstone round.
LMP2 will feature a significant car count increase from the four cars that competed full-time in 2014 up to 10. G-Drive and KCMG return, although their entries will be in different car configurations compared to what they began the 2014 season with.
SMP Racing does not return to LMP2, and will run in the European Le Mans Series with two new BR01s. It will still have a GTE-Am entry, listed below.
Strakka Racing will make its long-awaited race debut with the Strakka-Dome S103 Nissan. Extreme Speed Motorsports, run as Tequila Patron ESM in the U.S., enters the WEC under its prior name instead.
Newcomers Team SARD-Morand and Signatech Alpine join the grid, and OAK Racing is also entered with the third Ligier JS P2 in class beyond the two from G-Drive.
The GTE classes are more continuous compared to 2014. GTE-Pro has seven cars, with two cars apiece entered from AF Corse and Porsche Team Manthey and three from Aston Martin Racing.
In GTE-Am there are also seven cars. AF Corse has one further entry, joined by two more Aston Martins, the Proton and Dempsey-Proton Porsches, SMP Racing and Larbre Competition. The latter three entries are additions to GTE-Am for 2015.
The entry lists for the twice-around-the-clock French endurance classic, as well as the European Le Mans Series, were also unveiled.
