Isotta Fraschini motorsport manager Claudio Berro has departed the company, in a shakeup of its senior-level staff within the Italian manufacturer.
Berro, a longtime motorsport figurehead, has been replaced by recently appointed company CEO Miguel Valldecabres beginning with this weekend’s FIA World Endurance Championship round at Interlagos.
The change comes after the Tipo 6 LMH Competizione recorded its best finish-to date of 13th in last month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A statement from the manufacturer read: “The entire management of Isotta Fraschini Milano Fabbrica Automobili intends to thank Claudio Berro for his commitment, which culminated with the participation in the French 24-hour race, where the final result rewarded the quality of the vehicle and the entire organization, which worked hard for two years to achieve this precious goal.”
Valldecabres was appointed Isotta Fraschini’s CEO in June, as part of the boutique manufacturer’s goal of expanding into new markets with its road-going supercars.
