James Calado led the way in a delayed warmup session for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Ferrari AF Corse driver reeled off a best time of 3:30.113 in the 15-minute session, which was run under damp conditions amid mixed weather conditions.
It was 2.846 seconds quicker than the sister No. 50 Ferrari 499P of Nicklas Nielsen, with Chip Ganassi Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais returning to action following its fire in Hyperpole to set the third quickest time.
The track, declared wet by officials, saw reduced lap times but the majority of the runners remained on slicks.
LMP2 was led by the No. 23 United Autosports Oreca of Tom Blomqvist, while Daniel Serra’s No. 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo paced GTE-Am.
The only notable incident came from the No. 37 Cool Racing Oreca of Nicolas Lapierre, which stopped on track at the exit of Arnage.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans gets underway at 4 p.m. CEST (10 a.m. EDT), with rain in the forecast.
