Antonio Felix da Costa will join AF Corse’s LMP2 Pro-Am lineup at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the Portuguese driver making his return to the event after one year away.

Da Costa will pilot the No. 155 Oreca 07 Gibson alongside Bronze-rated Francois Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxiviere.

Porsche, the brand da Costa races for in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, revealed earlier this week that the 33-year-old was set to make his Le Mans return in the LMP2 category.

At the time, it was not yet known which team da Costa had signed with, with a Porsche spokesperson stating that the team in question ‘has no relationship’ with the German marque.

Da Costa will make his Le Mans return after a year’s absence, missing the event last year after Porsche made the decision for him to fully focus on his Formula E duties.

He has six Le Mans starts to his name, competing in the Hypercar class with Hertz Team JOTA’s customer Porsche 963 in 2023 and most notably taking an LMP2 class victory with the British squad the year prior.

Da Costa’s Le Mans resume also includes a pair of GTE-Pro appearances with BMW in 2018 and 2019.

AF Corse, meanwhile, are the reigning class winners in LMP2 Pro-Am, having taken the victory last year with a lineup consisting of Perrodo, Ben Barnicoat and Nico Varrone.
