Ferrari has confirmed that it will retain the same driver lineups for its factory FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar program for the third consecutive season, while factory driver Yifei Ye will continue aboard the satellite No. 83 AF Corse entry.

The Prancing Horse is coming off a landmark year in the world championship, in which it took a third straight overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and took a world championship double with both the drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles.

In the wake of that success, the brand has outlined that Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen will remain together in the No. 50 Ferrari 499P, while Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi will return to defend their drivers’ crown in the sister No. 51 machine.

Ferrari’s Friday confirmation comes after the brand’s head of global endurance Antonello Coletta told reporters ahead of the WEC finale in Bahrain that the lineups were likely to “stay more or less the same.”

The Italian manufacturer is unique in its lineup consistency in WEC’s Hypercar ranks, as it is the only one out of the current crop of top-class manufacturers to have retained the same driver crews for every single season since it debuted.

Ye to Continue Aboard Satellite No. 83 Ferrari

Along with the confirmation of its driver crews for the No. 50 and No. 51 cars, Ferrari also outlined that factory driver and reigning Le Mans winner Yifei Ye will continue aboard the No. 83 499P.

The Chinese racer has piloted the yellow-liveried satellite entry for each of the past two WEC seasons, peaking with a victory in this year’s edition of the French endurance classic alongside Phil Hanson and Robert Kubica.

It has not yet been announced whether or not Hanson and Kubica will also return to the No. 83 car next year, with the latter previously suggesting to Sportscar365 that the prospect of remaining a part of the lineup would depend on whether the satellite Ferrari team’s “goals” aligned with his own priorities.

A Ferrari spokesperson outlined that the two remaining drivers in the lineup will not be factory drivers.
