Ford will be introducing an EVO package for the Mustang GT3 in 2026, the brand has announced.
While no further details have been made public by the brand, it confirmed that the updated version of its GT3 challenger is set to launch “for the 2026 global racing season.”
The Mustang GT3 made its racing debut in 2024 and currently competes in a variety of championships around the world.
This includes both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as GT World Challenge powered by AWS competition in both Europe and America and series like the Intercontinental GT Challenge and DTM.
Its biggest success came when Ford Multimatic Motorsports took a GTD Pro class victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona earlier this year, while Proton Competition has secured multiple WEC podiums and Haupt Racing Team captured an SP9 Pro-Am class win at the Nürburgring 24.
“Whether we are producing cars for the track, or for the road, Ford Racing is always striving to exceed our customer’s expectations,” said Alex Allmandinger, Ford Racing’s global sportscar manager.
“We are continuing to build upon the success of the Mustang GT3 platform with an EVO package for 2026, pushing development and continued improvement for our teams and partners.
“As we celebrate 125 years since Ford’s first race win, we remain committed to competing at the highest level.”
