The Iron Dames Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 will run in a special livery designed in part by local elementary school students in next week’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Revealed on Monday, the predominantly pink-and-white design was created using images drawn by students of the Michel Ange school, located close to the Circuit de la Sarthe where the FIA World Endurance Championship centerpiece will be held.
The car will make its first public appearance in its new colors in scrutineering in downtown Le Mans on Friday ahead of the official test day on Sunday.
Sharing the No. 85 Iron Dames Lamborghini will be Sarah Bovy, Michelle Gatting and Rahel Frey, with Frey stepping in following last week’s news that Doriane Pin will be unable to race at Le Mans after suffering a rib injury.
Le Mans was due to be Pin’s final WEC appearance of the season as she prioritizes her single-seater commitments in F1 Academy and the Formula Regional European Championship going forward.
This year’s race will mark the sixth Le Mans appearance for the Iron Dames, who scored a best class finish of fourth last year with Bovy, Gatting and Frey at the wheel of a Porsche 911 RSR-19 in the GTE Am category.
