Isotta Fraschini Duqueine has announced that Antonio Serravalle has been added to its driver lineup for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season.
Canadian driver Serravalle, 21, ostensibly joins the previously-announced Jean-Karl Vernay and Alex Garcia at the wheel of the team’s solo Tipo 6 LMH Competizione, starting with next month’s Qatar 1812km opener.
Serravalle makes the step up to the WEC’s top category after two outings in LMP3 machinery last year, one in the Rolex 24 at Daytona for FastMD Racing and one in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge for Muehlner Motorsports at Sebring.
Prior to that, he raced single-seaters in North America, ascending the ladder as far as Indy Lights (now Indy NXT).
“I feel incredibly honored to compete alongside renowned automotive brands like Isotta Fraschini and Michelotto Engineering, both with their rich history,” said Serravalle.
“Being part of the prestigious WEC racing series, particularly in the top-tier LMH Hypercar category, is truly surreal.
“I extend my gratitude to Duqueine and Remstar Management for believing in me and providing this extraordinary opportunity.”
Duqueine team manager Max Favard added: “The last month was incredibly challenging for Duqueine Engineering and Isotta Fraschini to bring this project to life. We have all worked hard to find a good compromise between experienced drivers and future racing stars.
“With Antonio Serravalle behind the wheel of the Tipo 6, a LMH vehicle fine-tuned and developed by Isotta Fraschini and Michelotto, we can achieve and write an amazing story. I’m really happy to be part of this new era of endurance.”
