Hertz Team JOTA has unveiled a tweaked livery for its No. 38 Porsche 963 for this weekend’s Lone Star Le Mans, commemorating the 50th anniversary of lubricants brand Mobil 1.

The updated paint scheme has seen a color change applied on the side and front of the car, as well as the rear wing, with additional black as opposed to the usual white.

JOTA is not the first team to adopt a different color scheme marking Mobil 1’s 50th anniversary.

Multiple gold liveries were sported by the likes of Chip Ganassi Racing, Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports and Vasser Sullivan during the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Cadillac in March.

Jenson Button, Phil Hanson and Oliver Rasmussen, who will share the No. 38 car at Circuit of the Americas this weekend, sit 17th in the Hypercar drivers’ standings and fourth in the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams.
