Come Ledogar will make his first FIA World Endurance Championship appearance outside the 24 Hours of Le Mans as part of MR Racing’s lineup for the 1000 Miles of Sebring.
The Frenchman will replace Olivier Beretta in the MR-entered Ferrari 488 GTE Evo for the sixth round of the 2019-20 season.
Ledogar will share the wheel of the GTE-Am class car with his 24 Hours of Le Mans co-driver from last year Kei Cozzolino and amateur racer Motoaki Ishikawa.
The reason for Beretta’s absence is currently unclear, although Sportscar365 has reached out to Ferrari for clarification.
MR Racing is eighth in the GTE-Am teams’ standings having scored a podium, a fourth, two sevenths and a tenth across the five races held so far.
Ledogar has two WEC outings to his name, at Le Mans in 2018 and 2019, with LMP2 outfit Jackie Chan DC Racing in the former edition and Car Guy Racing in the latter.
More recently, the 2016 SRO GT Series champion won the 4 Hours of The Bend Asian Le Mans Series round in a Car Guy Ferrari together with Cozzolino and Takeshi Kimura.
Beretta’s replacement is the only change on the updated 30-car Sebring entry list issued this week.
The two Team LNT Ginetta G60-LT-P1 AERs are set to return the LMP1 class entry to five cars after the British squad decided to skip the previous round at Circuit of The Americas.
The updated entry also confirms that Antonio Felix da Costa will take up his place in JOTA’s LMP2 driver lineup following the postponement of the Sanya Formula E race.
The Portuguese driver’s slot was designated as ‘TBA’ on the provisional entry list.
Of the rest of the Formula E contingent, Sam Bird, Brendon Hartley and Sebastien Buemi will all compete at Sebring, while Nyck de Vries is the only driver formerly affected by the resolved date clash who won’t be racing in Florida.
European Le Mans Series LMP2 runner-up Job van Uitert will sub for de Vries in Racing Team Nederland’s Oreca 07 Gibson.
