The newly rebranded Goodyear bridge has broken cover, with the American tire giant’s signage replacing that of Dunlop, amid the British tire brand’s acquisition by the Sumitomo Group.

Confirmed late last year, the transformation at Circuit de la Sarthe was recently completed, ending a 102-year tradition of Dunlop’s branding on the bridge that dates back to the inaugural running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Goodyear, which is the exclusive tire provider in the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes in the French endurance classic, however, has maintained the same shape of the bridge and will donate a “heritage collection” of Dunlop bridge memorabilia to the new M24 Motorsport Museum, which is due to open in May.
