United Autosports will race its pair of McLaren 720S GT3 Evos in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s LMGT3 class in a black and orange design that pays tribute to McLaren’s previous 24 Hours of Le Mans win.

The Anglo-American stable is set for its first season in GT racing since 2015 and recently confirmed Bronze-rated Josh Caygill as the final driver in its lineup.

Caygill, Nico Pino and Marino Sato will share the No. 95 McLaren while James Cottingham, Nicolas Costa and Gregoire Saucy team up aboard the No. 59 car.

Both entry numbers, as well as the largely similar black and orange color schemes on both cars, pay tribute to the British brand’s sole overall Le Mans victory in 1995, while also incorporating the manufacturer’s current corporate papaya orange identity.

Notably, the two cars will not carry the blue, white and red livery that has become a staple of the team’s prototype activities in recent years.

“This is a proud moment, unveiling the new look of McLaren on its return to Le Mans and the WEC,” said team CEO Richard Dean.

“The design has racing heritage at its core, harking back to the 1995 Le Mans winner, while being – unmistakeably – part of the current McLaren family.”

The pair of cars will first hit the track at next week’s WEC Prologue, held at the Lusail International Circuit on February 24-25.
