The Blancpain GT Series schedule will remain at ten rounds in 2017, with Zandvoort returning to the series and a possible visit to the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

At the annual SRO press conference, Stephane Ratel announced his organization’s plans for 2017, which are mainly focused on continuity in Blancpain GT.

The 2016 Sprint season will once again open in Italy at Misano (Sprint), followed by the annual trek to Monza for the Endurance Cup and a return to Brands Hatch (Sprint) and Silverstone (Endurance) in May.

The first of two visits to Nürburgring was dropped and replaced by a Sprint Cup round at Zandvoort, while Paul Ricard will again host a six-hour/1000km round of the Endurance Cup in late June.

The Total 24 Hours of Spa will remain at the final weekend of July.

SRO didn’t confirm yet where the penultimate round of the Sprint Cup will take place, both the Hungaroring and Red Bull Ring are listed on the schedule for an August slot.

Nürburgring will no longer host of the Endurance Cup finale; instead the fifth Sprint Cup round will be held in September.

Barcelona, meanwhile, will trade in its Sprint slot for the Endurance Cup. The final race of the season is set to take place during the first weekend of October.
